HTC Has Unveiled the Sensation 4G

thumbnail
HTC Corporation has revealed the Sensation 4G, which is perhaps the only smartphone in the market with the capability to beat Samsung Galaxy S II, a king of Android Mountain. Powering the Sensation is a 1.2GHz dual core processor along with 4.3 inch Super LCD screen that boasts 960 x 540 pixel resolution and 768MB RAM. The company has done a commendable job by introducing the Sensation 4G that weighs 148 grams and fits perfectly into the hand with its ergonomic design. The tapered rounded edges make sure that it doesn’t slip out of the hand. The build quality is also quite spectacular; on the other hand, it easily makes its way through two days of moderate use including push notifications from Twitter and Gmail, few calls, light browsing and texts. The Sensation 4G features a super LCD screen, which is not that good as compared to Galaxy S II. The viewing angles are not that wide; neither do the colors pop out  [...]

T-Mobile to bring Nokia Astound on April 6th for $80

thumbnail
Nokia has announced Nokia Astound and this handset will be covered by T-Mobile. The handset is a lot like Nokia C7, both the phones have similar specs. For instance, there is the same three and half inch AMOLED display and eight megapixel camera which can capture 720p videos. These specs were announced last year too and we think the only difference between the two phones is the T-Mobile branding (that should change to AT&T branding soon). The looks of this phone are pretty cool with a bottom chin and platform kind of thing. Our sources tell us that the browser has been refreshed here and it also supports QWERTY keyboard layout. One unique feature here is that the service provider is providing WiFi calling just like on the E73 Mode. You will be able to do unrestricted video calling through Qik using the front facing camera.  [...]

AT&T buys T-Mobile

thumbnail
Since a long time, AT&T has been criticized for having poor network. They have been struggling to meet the demands of growing cell phone data usage and there have been a lot of complaints about it. It seems that the carrier has now found a solution to the problem. AT&T has bought T-Mobile USA for an astonishing sum of $39 billion. The transfer will not be easy, there will be regulatory hurdles to take care of and the deal might take months or even years to complete. T-Mobile USA will get 8% of the directors seat at AT&T and AT&T will become the biggest cellular service provider in the US. Both these giants have 25% more users than Verizon Wireless. But we all know that this purchase is not just about increasing the number of customers, it is for improving the quality of network. AT&T is working hard  [...]

thumbnail
Windows 7 phones are here and everyone AT&T has announced their two bits already with HTC Surround and Samsung Focus. T-Mobile has too joined the race with HTC HD7, their first Windows 7 smartphone. T-Mobile said that the HTC HD7 will come on November 8th and will cost $199.99 along with a two year contract and after $50 mail-in rebate. It will have a large 4.3 inch touch screen display with a very spacious keyboard. Such specs are indeed mouth watering and we cannot wait for this handset to come in our labs for testing. HTC HD7 will be powered by a 1 GHz processor which will make sure the phone will remain fast even if you run multiple applications on it. A faster processor opens up the applications really fast. For storing music, videos and photos, the phone will be having 16 GB internal memory which is quite impressive. You can carry the entire music library in your pocket. On the back, the HTC HD7 phone will have a five megapixel  [...]

Apple announces its Q4 earnings

thumbnail
Apple’s Q4 earnings are out and this is another wining quarter for this manufacturer. Apple said that the results for fourth quarter are highest earnings and revenue ever. They have set new records for iPad, iPhone and Mac sales. Highlights here include about 14.1 million iPhone sold (which is up 91 percent for Q4 in 2009), 3.98 million Macs (up by 27 percent), 4.19 million iPads and 9.05 million iPods (down by 11 percent). The profit is at all time high with $20.34 billion and the net profit has been $4.31 billion. These figures are all really impressive except for the iPod. The music player hasn’t been doing well in the market especially because the iPhone is now a much capable substitute. It can do everything that the iPod Touch and also has cellular service. Many think that Apple might stop selling the iPods in near future. Apple is holding the Mac event today and it will be interesting to see what all they have to announce for their computer  [...]

Verizon announces Motorola Citrus, a budget candybar handset

thumbnail
Motorola has been pretty busy off late. They have already given us Motorola Droid Pro with Verizon and now this duo is back again with Motorola Citrus, an entry level handsets. It is actually the WX445 phone which we saw in July this year. This is an entry level phone so it is not disappointing to see that the handset will carry a dated Android 2.1 OS and Blur skin. We are also expecting the manufacturer to offer Froyo update for it soon. Motorola says that this cellphone will have a curved design which will feel good in the hand. The phone will have a on screen full QWERTY keyboard and will be available in both portrait and landscape modes for quick messaging. The full HTML Web browser preloaded on the phone will let you surf the Web while you are traveling. The display has a capacitive touch interface which will give you  [...]
