The LG Optimus 3D clearly was the most talked about phone when it was displayed at the Mobile World Congress and the simple reason for that being the fact that it was the first mainstream smartphone to have a 3D display. But that’s just not it, in addition to being the first mainstream handset having a 3D display, the LG Optimus 3D also has a glossy design, a 3D camera/camcorder and a dual-core processor. But we were immensely disappointed upon hearing that the LG Optimus 3D, neither was a 4G phone nor will it be available in US markets. But thankfully at CTIA we came to know that the device will be rebranded for HSPA+ network of AT&T as the LG Thrill 4G. So, don’t get confused by the name, if you are looking to buy LG Optimus 3D. Nokia N9 Might Enter The UK Market In Coming August

thumbnail
If the leaked release details for the Nokia N9 are to be believed, the handset will be entering the UK markets on 19th of August, 2011. The alleged launch date for the MeeGo powered Smartphone from Nokia could very well be next month, as many of the other tech websites have also reported August 19th, as the launch date for Nokia N9. It should be known that the Nokia N9 is the first handset from Nokia to feature the MeeGo operating system, based on Linux. Officially the Nokia N9 was unveiled last month, and the handset entered the market with a 3.9 in AMOLED multitouch display instead of the physical buttons.

Though, we haven’t got any details officially from Nokia, but according to the alleged leaked release details for the N9, the MeeGo powered new smartphone will be way ahead of the first Windows Phone 7 from Nokia, which is supposed to enter the market in the month of October. Some other leaked specifications for Nokia N9 suggests that the handset will be having an 8 Megapixel camera mounted on its rear end, and will have Carl Zeiss lens and the capabilities of recording video at 720p HD. The camera will also be having a 2nd forward-facing VGA camera and storage option of 16 GB or 64 GB. Seeing the wobbling condition of Nokia in the Smartphone game it will be interesting to see whether the forthcoming Nokia N9 can bring the firm back on the Map and challenge the other phones like the iPhone 5 and Samsung Galaxy S II.
