Samsung is working on the launch of their all new Galaxy range, which will be filling the gap between the standalone tablets and smartphone handsets. As for now, this alleged gadget has been named as Samsung Galaxy Q. the supposed gadget will be having a 5.3 in Super AMOLED display, and will enter in between company’s biggest smartphone in the market with 4.5 inches of display and their smallest tablet PC having display of 7 inches. The tentatively named Samsung Galaxy Q is supposed to debut at Samsung’s press conference at IFA this year, at Berlin in September. The Samsung Galaxy Q will try and imitate the accomplishments of their Galaxy S II mobile phone, while its sibling will be offering a wide assortment of tablet-esque features. Though, there still has not been any conformation from the company, but it is expected that the hybrid handset will be having a strong dual-core processor, and following the current trend of slim and  [...]

Motorola Defy – Tough enough

thumbnail
You might have seen a lot of rugged handsets out there but it is really intriguing to see that there are not a lot of rugged smartphones in the market. In fact, the only one I think of right now is i1 by Motorola. It was release some time ago and the company is back here with Motorola Defy. I would readily recommend this phone if you are looking for a rugged smartphone. The phone has a 3.7 inch capacitve touch screen with an awkward resolution of 480x854 pixels. The pictures and text look great on the phone though. Motorola Defy is based on Android 2.1 and it is a bit dated considering that the 2.2 update is out. Let’s hope the update is offered soon. There are seven home screens, voice control, speech-to-text abilities, live wallpaper, and you can also use more than a single Gmail account at a time. The universal in-box feature lets you put all the correspondence and messages in one list. I liked the universal address book because it syncs with social networking accounts  [...]

LG G2x – Too Much Brawn in Too Little Space

thumbnail
increasing rivalry among the cellphone manufacturers every manufacturer is trying to offer as much brawniness as possible in every single handset that they offer, and this is resulted in significantly thinning of the space between the mobile phone segments. The LG G2x that we are covering here is the latest offering from LG and with this Android cellphone, LG has made itself as a major power. The LG G2x is the flagship phone of LG and has been powered by 1-GHz Tegra 2 dual-core processor of Nvidia. And we weren’t sure whether one processor is better than the other or not, but we finally think that it two cores actually are better than two. Right from the very first operation of LG G2x the power of the handset becomes pretty clear. Switching between dissimilar menu and screens is unlined, and faster than ever. Scrolling the catalogue of apps is also seamless and the images flow like a falls. The phone might have  [...]

Samsung Sidekick 4G – New and Updated Sidekick

thumbnail
If you remember the original Sidekick, you would have pleasant memories of its easy to flip open and close physical keyboard, its not so bulky body and its large screen (bigger than most of the Smartphone’s of its time). All these features made the Samsung’s first shot in the Smartphone revolution an instant hit. But a lot has changed over the past few years, and the successors of the original Sidekick have failed severely in coping up with its rival devices having modern apps and operating systems, and with touch screen displays rather than the conventional physical keyboards. This all has made us think, whether the Sidekick makes a comeback or it’s just too late for a comeback? The good thing here is that at least Samsung thinks that the Sidekick can make a comeback, and that’s what the Samsung Sidekick 4G tells us all. The all new Samsung Sidekick 4G remains true to its heritage and bumps its specifications by including a set of upgraded specifications and including some vital  [...]

Nokia Proclaims Their N950 Running MeeGo

thumbnail
The Nokia N9 is the latest offering from Nokia, and the handset launched at the Connection Event of the company comes with a slide-out QWERTY keyboard. If you are attracted towards the phone straightway and we don’t blame you for that, the handset has the design that can grab attention of any onlooker, but the sad thing here is that Nokia won’t be launching the handset into the market, and as for now, this only will be a developer’s only phone. This means that the Nokia N9 will be manufactured in limited numbers and will not be available in the market for commercial use. The intention behind the development of this mobile is to assist the MeeGo developers in enhancing the latest platform. The Nokia N9 will be having almost the same specifications just as the Nokia N9, but definitely will be having minor differences between them. While the Nokia N9 will be having a somewhat bigger 4 inch TFT LCD screen having native resolution of 854 x 480 pixels,  [...]

HTC 7 Pro – Nice QWERTY Windows Phone

thumbnail
If you are a Windows Phone 7 fan and don’t want to go with the crowd of Android phones, then the HTC Pro 7 is an alternative worth considering. In the modern times when the market is flooding with the Android  smartphones there actually arent many Windows Phone 7 smartphone options available in the market, and the all new US Cellulars HTC Pro 7 surely is one of the very few available for the customers. The Pro 7 exactly is a rabranding of HTC’s Arrive which was launched in the market around three months back, and we do think that it’s a nice inclusion in the lineup of the carrier and offers a nice choice for the customers. The overall build and design of the HTC Pro 7 is pretty much like its precursor the HTC Arrive, and smartphone flaunts the typical HTC’s swept-metal factors and accents. The Pro 7 comes with a nice and comfy keyboard  [...]
